Las Vegas Tea Party will be organizing a tax day rally on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Noon. We will gather at Sunset Park on Sunset/Eastern.

The purpose is to publicly demonstrate our disagreement with the policies of our government, from the City level all the way to the Federal level, and to protest continuing rises in taxes and government interference in our lives.

Periodic reminders and press releases will be sent out between now and then. Tell your neighbors and your friends, join us in our support for each other, and letting the government see we stand side by side with each other in protest of their socialistic policies.

The Tea Party is not gone, in fact, after the caucus failure, it’s time we got more involved.

We encourage all Tea Parties across Nevada, and the nation, to schedule a protest/rally in their towns to coincide with ours, as a show of solidarity.

We do not have special guest speakers, nor celebrity guest hosts. This is a movement of, by, and for “We The People”.

The meeting is not billed as another “consumer input session,” however their agenda at this meeting will have the PUCN address an additional “consumer input session” at a date to be announced in the near future for the public to once again speak out against the smart meters. At each PUCN agenda meeting the public is allowed to speak at the beginning and at the end of the meeting. This is another opportunity for us to encourage the PUCN to have another “consumer Input session.” The Commission needs to know that a lot of Nevadans are opposed to smart meters. The more that speak out will increase our chances of convincing the board to have this additional “consumer Input session” at a future date in the near future
